5 Things I Will Stop Doing In 2018

This is personal. I wrote this in October 2017, but I’m hitting publish today. Breathe.

1 Being indirect or hiding my thoughts, swallowing what I want to say, being vague about myself.
2 Worrying about what others think (instead: if I need to know, ask direct questions and find out). Defending or explaining myself to fend off false opinions or accusations about me. (instead: if they are wrong, let them be wrong)
3 Feeling there’s no other option. There’s always another option. There’s always possibilities.
4 Lying in bed with phone when the alarm goes off. I’m not alone in checking my phone within 5 minutes of waking up, but still. (Have a consistent morning and bedtime routine this year).
5 Downplaying the effort I put into things or leaving achievements go unacknowledged – as if it’s nothing.

So… I wrote this following Danielle La Porte’s ‘Stop Doing List’.

It was so… liberating to do. And it’s even more liberating to publish this half way into 2018 as a perfect reminder to myself to get to where I want to be, and to see how far I’ve come already.

Ooh, these five are toughies.

What’s your ‘Stop Doing List’?
